The mission of SmartOpsMgt is to assist smaller and mid-sized industrial organizations to adopt Smart Operations Management (SOM)methods, with a special emphasis on real-time tracking and process-flow management of work-in-process materials and job tracking. We are especially interested in working with family run, privately owned organizations in the North Eastern USA.
One of the major roles of SmartOpsMgt LLC is to distribute copies of the SmartOps24x7™ (pronounced Smart Ops 24 by 7) software suite. The purpose of SmartOps24x7 is to enable rapid and cost-effective development of systems which track and trace the flow of work-in-process materials through manufacturing plants, distribution warehouses and other parts of the industrial supply-chain in real-time.
SmartOps24x7 specializes in the tracking of containers of material, assets and serialized items which have a unique license plate number barcode and/or RFID tag attached. This includes tracking the shipping, receipt, warehousing, movement, transformation, labeling, picking and packing of these materials in a wide variety of applications.
SmartOpsMgt was founded to provide an alternative to partners like KnarrTek Inc. KnarrTek provides turnkey materials tracking solutions, complete with needed equipment, supplies and supporting services. SmartOpsMgt by contrast simply licenses the SmartOps24x7 software suite to organizations that have the capability to provide their own systems implementation support, or use their own third party suppliers, to customize and tailor the SmartOpsx247 software for their specific needs.
Over the past two decades, SmartOps24x7 has been used by hundreds of small and midsize industrial organizations to track and manage their operations. A major goal of SmartOpsMgt is to ensure that the SmartOps24x7 software remains available as an independent, affordable software solution for these small and midsize manufacturing organizations and is not rolled up and then discarded by a Private Equity organization, solely for the purpose of making a quick buck.
SmartOpsMgt's business approach is one of collaborative teaming with systems integrators, other software developers, and consultants, as well as providers of needed equipment and supplies, to provide the needed software, training and documentation for rapid and cost-effective systems implementation .
The intent is that SmartOpsMgt will use the revenue stream from software licensing to fund on-going development and improvement of the SmartOps24x7 software suite.
