WIPtracker Multi-Site Technology

WIPtracker Technology

WIPtracker can be run stand-alone  to support a single manufacturing plant or warehouse. With the addition of MilramX and a Smart Operations Management database in a SmartOps24x7 software configuration, which runs on a Windows Server in the Cloud, operations at multiple manufacturing plants and distribution can be coordinated and integrated with systems such as ERP and CRM systems. Here the WIPtracker boxes communicate with an integrated Smart Operations Management SmartOps) database through the Web Services interface of the SmartOps24x7 software.

This same Web Services interface can be used by ERP and other business systems to exchange data with the SmartOps database or data can be exchanged using Python based Intelligent Agent Processes (IAPs).

WIPtracker uses store and forward communications to communicate with the SmartOps24x7 software enabling the use of intermittent and unreliable Internet communications links. This is carried to an extreme when the WIPtracker software is installed on ruggedized Windows computers, enabling data to be collected in the field, at construction sites, and other locations with no internet communications. In this case WIPtracker automatically syncs up with the SmartOps24x7 database when Internet communications is reestablished, to download orders and upload operational tracking data.

SmartOps24x7 can use its intelligent agents to automatically process a flow of incoming customer orders into work and ship orders, which are placed in the SmartOps database. These orders can then be routed by yet other agents to appropriate manufacturing plants and distribution warehouses, through their WIPtracker systems.
