SmartOps24x7 Unique Capabilities
From a high level view, the SmartOps24x7 software suite is a combination
warehouse management system (WMS) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with
added Intelligent Agent capabilities. But, because of its unique abilities, it is
able to perform activities that most inventory and production tracking systems
typically do not provide. These unique capabilities include:
- Ability to track the location, movement, and contents of individual
containers of material using attached tracking barcodes and/or RFID
tags. This includes being able to track multiple items in each
container, their quantity, their QC (quality control) status, their lot
and serial number, their owner and designated customer, manufacturer and
supplier, as well as special user defined characteristics.
- Ability to track the location and movement of serialized items,
using attached tracking barcodes and/or RFID tags. This includes being
able to track the part number, QC (quality control) status of such
parts, their lot and serial number, its owner and designated customer,
manufacturer and supplier, as well as special user defined
characteristics.
- Ability to track nested containers, such as pallets containing many
different parts including the ability to record the movement and
shipment of each pallet simply by scanning a single barcode and/or RFID
tag on the exterior of the pallet.
- Ability to track assets, including their item number, location and
movement, who they are assigned to, and special characteristics such a
recalibration time, using attached barcode and/or RFID tags. This
includes tracking Government Owned and Government Purchased assets.
- Ability to record the transformation of materials in a manufacturing
operation, recording both the input and output materials, using
barcode and/or RFID scanning and keeping a detailed history of the
inputs and outputs (including WIP) at each step of a manufacturing
process.
- Ability to track materials according to FDA, FAA, DOT and DOD
materials traceability requirements, including ability to generate
specialized barcode labels and RFID tags. SmartOps24x7 is CFR21 Part 11
compliant and can also generate and send EPCIS files to supply chain
partners.
- Ability to prevent mistakes in using, picking, packing or shipping
the wrong products to customers.
- Ability to use a mix of barcode and RFID tracking, as appropriate to
the processing stage, to record movement, usage, and production of
materials. This includes secondary operations such as kitting,
repackaging, relabeling, and assembly as part of warehouse operations.
- Ability to record the receipt and put-away of containers of material
having the same item number but different quantities, lot numbers, and
other characteristics, in different locations within the same warehouse
or production site or at many different sites.
- Ability to record the loading and shipment of individual containers
of material by truck or ocean freight container and to prevent mistakes.
This includes the ability to generate ASNs and Bills of Lading for what
was actually shipped, including sending materials tracking and
traceability data to downstream trading partners.
These and many more unique capabilities stem from the SmartOps24x7
BellHawk software using a Containers Table, to track its materials rather
than simply tracking the quantity of each part by location.
