Manufacturing

BellHawk Software Overview (9 Minutes) BellHawk is used by manufacturers, distributors, and other industrial organizations to track and manage their operations. In this video we describe how BellHawk is used for real-time operations tracking and management, either as a stand-alone application or as an extension to an ERP or accounting system. We describe its features and benefits, as well as its applications. Then we described its architecture including how it can automatically print barcode labels on demand and exchange data with a wide-range of other systems.

Shop Tracking

How BellHawk Dynamically Tracks the Flow of Materials through Industrial Organizations in Real-Time (7 minutes). In this video we describe how the BellHawk software uses LPN (License Plate Number) tracking methods to dynamically track the flow of materials through manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other industrial organizations in real-time. This is contrasted with typical inventory tracking and warehouse management systems that simply track the quantities of material at specific locations in a warehouse. In this video we then look at how BellHawk uses LPN methods to track the flow of materials from receiving and put-away, through being used in the manufacture of intermediate and final products, and their picking, packing and shipping to customers.

Job and Materials Tracking

Simple Production Tracking (12 minutes) In this video we show how BellHawk can be used to track make-to-order jobs through a sequence of operations using the example of making curtains for houses, hotels, and other buildings in a industrial workshop. The video starts with showing how the production manager can quickly setup a work order for a custom job then then how barcode scanning can be used to track the job through the cutting, sewing, and finishing work centers.

Simple Production Tracking

Work-in-Process, Job and Materials Tracking (16 minutes) In this video we show how the BellHawk software can be used to track transformation of raw materials into finished products. We demonstrate how we can receive a rod of stainless steel bar stock and then track its conversion into a set of finished stainless-steel knobs, through a sequence of manufacturing operations, before being shipped to a customer. This includes tracking Work-in-Process (WIP) materials and the labor time required for each operation

Container-Based Inventory Tracking

Container-Based vs. Item-Locator Inventory Tracking Methods (9 minutes). There are two ways of tracking inventory in manufacturing plants, distribution warehouses, and many other industrial organizations. This video provides an in-depth comparison of newer container-based inventory tracking methods, which are used by the BellHawk software, with older item-locator inventory tracking methods, which are used by traditional inventory tracking, warehouse management, ERP, and accounting systems.
